maw & yours truly have consummated a trade. For some time it's seemed inevitable that Ottawa Sen Shane Pinto would end up on his roster. Talks have been a long time coming.

Full trade is: I receive Peterka and two 2nds (2-5 2022 and 2-Naslundians 2023); maw receives Pinto, Boone Jenner and 4-2 2022.

Peterka is bound to end up good. He was my prospect originally. I lost patience for no reason and then moved him in a larger deal. Then you got him from that GM.

This is a long-term and oft-repeated pattern of yours, and I respect you for it, you charmer. Capitalize on my genius and my ridiculous impatience (not a good skill in a keeper league tbh).

Good luck with him. I will be watching carefully. I still like him. But the trade I made was necessary.

I've traded the current pick 3-3 (#33) to Yogi's Losing Squad for Yogis 3-5 pick (#35) and Yogis 3rd round pick in 2023. I'm also willing to take offers on pick #35 to move back some more.

I traded the pick after MP’s on the clock pick to cobbler for his 5-13 and I think Newfie Jesus’ 4th in 2023.

Also, I’m willing to trade my last pick in the 4th round. Inquire within.

Cobbler and I made another trade. He gets my current pick: 4-15. I get his 6-13 pick and his 2023 4th rounder.

My next pick, 5-5, is also available for trade.

You lose anything in the souwester?

When I lived on that path for a decade, our basement got flooded almost annually. No electricity or phone was a regular thing. Our only heat and food source was the fireplace and we made good use of it. Popcorn, hot dogs, hamburgers, toast (and even marshmellows for dessert - though sometimes they tasted like wieners becase we had no water). We had all these weird antique iron/lead/taconite [?] utensils for cooking each. The fireplace popcorn maker was obviously my favourite

I am not making light of your plight. Those were nice memories for me (not the basement part because that was our favourite place to play) because I was a child. You are an adult and have to deal with it. Good luck, best wishes, and oxox

You mean Fiona? Never even lost power. Even drove halfway across the island, bit of a stormy night near Gander on Saturday but we were fine. Southwest coast got the storm surge. Wind got up to 177 kmph in the Wreckhouse.

Newfoundland is pretty huge. The island of Newfoundland and the country of Japan are nearly equal in square miles, though they have a few more people.

~100 homes were wrecked, between Port Aux Basques and Burgeo. One lady was packing up to leave and a wave smashed into her house and pulled her out to sea. Nightmarish.

Justin Trudeau is helping an auld sailor look for his dentures in the wreckage this afternoon. Can you believe it? He lost two houses, a shed, and his dentures.

The hilarious thing is that in the storm, the streets were PACKED with people driving around with their Tim Horton's treats and camping out near the coastline, with their cameras pointed at houses and waiting. The mayor, the RCMP, every responsible entity and organization was PLEADING "go home, take shelter, get out of the way of first responders, this is an emergency and extremely dangerous," but hey, we got loads of footage of devastation.

I think the White Claw lady got an endorsement deal and some relief funds sent to the community... in case you didn't hear the story, a lady's house was demolished in the surge and she thought all was lost, but her fridge full of White Claw survived.

Sam Girard

To The Nazzty Boys

2023 6th
2024 3rd
2025 2nd

saving him from the waiver wire probably, but we'll see how this shakes out. Still listening to offers bearing Defense, but I'm starting to eat up my cap space now. Having a few young punks on the defending Stanley Cup champs roster is fine.

Pre-pandemic, Brandon and the gang were pretty quick with their assignments but Josh Bloom has been sent back to junior for like four hours now and still no green flag.

I hope we don't have to post real Cap Numbers this season like we had to do occasionally last year, but if so, c'est la vie.

Not whining, and I know it will get fixed and no one will complain, but it's going to be very, very hard to get cap compliant without f-trax sorting out its green flag issues.

I have at least four guys on Active who've been in minors for weeks. Not a worry, but I hate not being compliant on Opening Night.

I'm sure many of us are in the same boat.

How hard can it be for them if they have one guy who knows ANYTHING about hockey?

I can look at any of our rosters and tell you immediately who should be in the Minors. If that were my actual job, I'd probably double-check, but I certainly wouldn't have to.

What a bunch of fuckwits.

Fuckwits with all our money.
