This is a fine development. Remember to drop in some Dogphilosophea after a glass or two when the conversation turns all reflective and aspirational and whatnot to seal the deal (ie. wish each other a good night and to not let the bed bugs bite!)

Oh, my bad. I thought she was the nice, boring with an ever so slight edge (which remains firmly goody two-shoes and does not extend to tattoo loving) type.

But this is where you’ll get in trouble longer term. Behind the slight badass persona, you’re all gooey gooey on the inside. She’s been with an asbergers for 20 years. She won’t stand the gooey gooey.

Sorry, again think you need to borrow from my playbook (nice/slightly amusing exterior wrapped around a mildly sociopathic, in a good way, interior).

We have very similar brands, banana. Just completely opposite.

You’re mildly bad on the outside, but gooey gooey (in a good way) on the inside.

I’m gooey gooey on the outside, but mildly sociopathic (in a good way) on the inside.

You don’t have to die alone. You could stay gooey gooey on the inside and die with the cancer girl (or similar “emotional inner life” kinda person). Otherwise, you have to become mildly sociopathic on the inside (in a good way).

Does she have a bit of an artistic/expressive side? If so, how does she express it? Is it all cool on the outside, but all neat and tidy on the inside or is it a bit messy? Deep down, is she a nazi or anarchist?

True, but how about if you are walking down the street and a giant ciment block falls on you and the person walking next to you while you two were talking and you both get squished into an inseparable mush?

So, has anyone been to Tokyo?

Recommendations?

We are going to the Tokyo Dome for WrestleKingdom on the evenings of January 4th and January 5th, but the rest of my 10 day trip is open.

I spent a few weeks in Tokyo in each of 2016 and 2017.

My favourite spots:

Shinjuku in general but Golden Gai (try a few spots. Be respecful. Don't be an ass to the bartenders. Say hi to Kuro)
Do the Robot Restaurant. Its pretty funny in a crazy tourist way that only the japanese can pull off.
Harajuku (especially the main walking street)
Shibuya for clothes shopping
Kappabashi has the most fun restaurant stores (like supplies for restaurants). The knife district especially is astounding.

Where are you staying (i.e., near which train station)?

Eat street food everywhere. Its the best food in the world. Do not leave Tokyo without having had Takoyaki, Yakitori and some good japanese beef (from Matsuzaka, Kobe or Hitachi)

Still gotta book a hotel. Near what train station do you suggest?

We found a cheap flight ($1000 for direct and return) and the January 4th Tokyo Dome event is a bucket list item, so my brother and I booked.... we still have 6 months to do the details like getting our Wrestle Kingdom tickets, hotel etc...
